Investor Questions:

  • How will your company differentiate itself from the competition?

The truth is I can’t compete with existing local Beekeepers and honey producers; however, I can add to the market and create a supply of honey to local customers in the Terrace area.

  • What other streams of revenue can be added to your business?

I have considered offering beeswax food wraps and expanding my business into a Honey Bee Supply shop. However, I will concentrate my focus; on Honey, as my sole source of income for the next few years.

  • Do you have to hire anyone to help with your business?

I would most likely have to hire one or two people to help me process honey during the summer. However, this is a small operation for the first two years of business as I will need time to get the beehives production up.

  • Will you be accepting credit and debit?

I think honestly, I will stick to cash and e-transfers. Unless my sales warrant a debit machine I want to keep my costs down.

Customer Questions:

  • Will your honey be available in any grocery stores?

I intend to sell my honey at the Skeena Valley Farmers Market and out of my home. Bee Kind Honey will not be available in grocery stores at this time.

  • Will you have different kinds of honey?

I most likely will offer clover and fireweed honey as I will be placing my bees close to these food sources.

  • Will you offer any other products besides honey?

I will offer small packages of honeycomb the first two years and potentially expand my products as my business grows. If the Bees are producing more honey and wax than expected, I will consider including beeswax food wraps and possibly candles. However, my main focus is the production of honey.

  • Can I bring back my jar to be filled with honey?

You may bring your old Honey Jar with Bee Kind Honey Labels and get a $2 discount on a new purchase of Honey.  Your old jar will be cleaned and repurposed for honey sales.
